How To Unclog Drains the Green Way
Water going down the sink drain slowly and sluggishly? Unclog the drain without using costly and harmful chemical drain cleaners with Alka Seltzer and vinegar.
Crumbled two Alka Seltzer tablets into the drain, then pour in one cup of white vinegar and let the green mix fizz and bubble for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, flush drain clog on through the pipes by running tap hot water.
Green, Streak-Free Shine for Mirrors and Windows
Cheap, green and clean is the way to go with dirty mirrors and windows. Combine one cup of rubbing alcohol, one cup of water and one tablespoon of white vinegar in a spray bottle. Shake the mixture and use to clean and shine all mirrored and glass items in your home.
Stain Removal the Green Way
Stains on clothing, counter tops, floors or on most any surface can be removed the cheap green way with a little baking soda and water. Place a little baking soda in a small container and add just enough water to it to form a paste.
For stained clothing, apply the baking soda paste to the underside of the garment and rub, then launder as usual. For stains on hard surfaces, rub the baking soda paste on and wipe clean with a damp cloth.
