Find the Small Business Owner Inside Youself

Every day I think about how I can improve my small business and make more money. As most of you already know, I have a small moving business. The name of my company is “Give Youself a Hand Moving and Labor Services.” This weekend I had three small moving jobs and I earned 0.00 cash. By keeping my main focus on small moving jobs, I am averaging about 0 per month. On Saturday, I helped unload a truck for a woman named Amy. I met David on craigslist and he drove the truck overnight from Chicago to Charlotte. It did not take long to unload everything. The heaviest item was a large television. David paid me .00 for two hours of work. I forgot to give Amy a business card so that was a bad move on my part. Always leave several business cards with the customer so they can refer other people to you.

The next job on Saturday was moving a 53″ television from a second floor to a ground floor. I had to get two other guys to help me with the move. Freddy and James met me at the customers house and we rolled the large television to the top of the stairs. Then, we lifted the unit step-by-step (16 stairs in all) to the ground floor. The customer was amazed with our strength and professionalism. Then we carried a 32″ television upstairs. The television fit inside a cabinet, but it was not that heavy.

We were paid 0 for the job (I got , Freddy got and James got ). I received because I drove to the location. When we left the customers house, I received a phone call from him. Apparently he was considering selling the 53″ television on craigslist for 0. Instead he wanted to know if I wanted it for free! I was not interested, but Freddy was and he made arrangements to get it home.

On Sunday, I helped James move a 400 pound fish tank. I made on that move. Providing customer service and helping people with their small moves is how I make extra cash.
