Crew on ‘Larry Crowne’ production dangerously use mirrors to blind photographers
Idiotic film crew minions on the set of ‘Larry Crowne’ – a movie starring Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts – use large mirrors to deliberately reflect bright sunlight down the long lenses of photographers covering the filming in a public street and from a public sidewalk. Their dangerous actions risked blinding photographers and damaging their sensitive imaging equipment by magnifying the extremely bright Southern Californian sunlight through high-powered 500mm lenses. Their stupidity only ceased when the photographers protested to a CHP police officer working on the set who then intervened and likened what the crew were doing to pointing a high-powered laser beam at somebody, which is illegal under California law.
