Born and raised in Cuba, Paquito D’Rivera can’t remember a time when he wasn’t playing the saxophone or clarinet. Considered a child prodigy at the age of six, Paquito blurs delineations between Afro-Latin jazz, jazz, and classical music. A multiple Grammy winner and National Medal for the Arts recipient, Paquito continues to be true to his cultural roots and musical passions.
